John Pryor

Chairman

The eldest son of the companies founder Cecil Pryor. John has been running the Pryor group of companies along with his brother Roger for the past 40 years.

John was managing director from 1976-2001 and then became Chairman in 2001.

John is a keen follower of most sports and plays golf as his main hobby.

Roger Pryor

Deputy Chairman

Roger Pryor is the younger brother of John he began his working life in the business in 1970. In 1979 he was appointed director responsible for the farming side of the Group. Roger then became Deputy Chairman in 2001.

He enjoys playing tennis, skiing and the general outdoors.

Graeme Howard

Managing Director

Graeme holds a CEng MICE BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering and has 21 years experience in the construction industry.

Joined C J Pryor in April 2011 as Managing Director, moving from Costain. Previously employed by Dyer & Butler and Fitzpatrick as Contracts Manager and Alfred McAlpine as Project Director.

Graeme is a keen scuba diver and enjoys any outdoor pursuits.

Allan Gifford

Finance Director

Allan’s dedication to C J Pryor spans 43 years, he was appointed a director in May 1986. His knowledge in the business is unparalleled.

Allan is a bowls enthusiast and enjoys the peace and tranquillity of his garden.

Michael Munn

Director of Plant & Health & Safety
Director of Pryor Contracts Latvia SIA

Started in the construction industry in 1971 with W & C French Ltd as trainee office manager.

Joined C J Pryor (Plant) Ltd in 1978 as Purchasing/Stores Manager, appointed to the board in 1995 as Plant Director and in 2009 Health & Safety Director.

David Byford

Non-Executive Director

David is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB) with 20 years experience at Barclays Bank, before setting up his own commercial finance company in 2005. He has a wealth of experience in advising businesses and joined C J Pryor in August 2010.

A dedicated Cricket Coach and a big Rugby Union fan.

Paul Delaney

Company Accountant

Paul started his working life as an auditor for 4 years then in 1978 moved into the construction industry with David Limington Ltd then David Webster Ltd for nearly 25 years.

Joined C.J. Pryor in September 1997 and is responsible for finance across all the companies and associated companies within the group.

Paul is a keen squash player and enjoys travelling.
